English to Vietnamese, in your own words.

Start with what you want to say in English. GoLocal helps you turn a short, specific request into Vietnamese that you can show on your phone or play aloud.

Prepared phrases are open to everyone. Live translation and speech require sign-in.

Start with your English

Make it something you would actually say.

A café order, a question about a size, a request for the driver. Write one clear thought and take it into GoLocal.

Up to 500 characters. Review your draft in GoLocal before translating.

A clearer request helps

Small sentences travel well.

Use short requests with a specific subject. “Please stop here” gives a driver a clearer instruction than a long sentence that mixes a route, a time, and several stops.

Keep names, street addresses, quantities, and times explicit. If you need two different things, translate them as two turns. Read the result before you show it, especially when your request includes “no,” “without,” or a change of plan.

GoLocal may ask a clarification question when the English is too ambiguous to translate faithfully. Revise the phrase and try again.

After the translation

Put the conversation first.

Show the Vietnamese text at a comfortable size so the other person can read it. Online playback can read it aloud using an AI-generated voice. If they respond in Vietnamese, use the reply-listening feature instead of guessing the answer. You can save phrases you expect to reuse, such as a shopping question or a ride request.

A few useful answers

Before you get started

How do I translate English to Vietnamese with GoLocal?

Enter your English text above to open a draft in GoLocal. Then choose “Translate to Vietnamese.” A prepared phrase may already have a ready translation; a new live translation requires internet access and sign-in.

Can I speak my English instead of typing?

Yes. Open “Say something” in GoLocal and tap the microphone to dictate English. You will be asked for recording consent and microphone permission. Review the transcript before translating it.

How long can an English phrase be?

Custom text is limited to 500 characters. Short requests work well for a travel conversation. Split a longer exchange into several turns so each request is clear.

Will opening my draft translate it automatically?

No. Opening a draft simply puts your text in the app’s editor. You choose when to translate, record, play audio, or save the phrase.
